Combat HIV by Sex Education

           More than sixty million people in this whole world have been infected with HIV. And approximately twenty million adults and children died because of HIV. In this era without any preventive action, that amount is not impossible to increase more and more. This essay will persuade you all to support the sex education to be a curriculum from junior high school student to the senior high school student around the world. This action will very useful to prevent the HIV disease and of course to help more than a million people in this world. And we know that there is no cure for HIV, because of that there will be impossible to us to give treatment to the people who have HIV-infected, and sex education will be the great preventive action to prevent the HIV disease.

            Before we enter the writer’s argument, let’s we start with some definition. First, what is HIV? HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that causes Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS), a condition in humans in which progressive failure the immune system. This disease is no cure. And this disease automatically will bring the victim into the death. Transmission of HIV can be done by using needle that has been contaminated, parental transmission, moreover based on WHO data at least 60%-70% HIV, transmitted by sexual relations. Second, what is sex education? Sex education instruction on issues relating to human sexuality, including human sexual anatomy, sexual reproduction, sexual intercourse, reproductive health, emotional relations, reproductive rights and responsibilities, abstinence, birth control, and other aspects of human sexual behavior. So, sexual education actually has a relationship with HIV. How to start that action? First, when it have been a curriculum, start with give the reliable teacher some important material. And give/buy to the student the sexual education textbook, without negative picture that just contain the positive thing to make a great world without HIV.

            Like we told before, in this essay we want to introduce to you all, how big the profit that the world will get if the sexual education be a curriculum in Junior High School until Senior High School. Why must in Junior High School until Senior High School? Because, in that age we are going to enter the adolescence. And in that time, we will be an unstable teenager, moreover we will feel want to try anything not and not impossible about sex. So, the sex education will teach what is the dangerous of sex, how to take care our virginity, and at the end of the day, when they are mature enough, they have know what is the safe sex. And that action of course will decrease the unsafe sexual, and automatically will decrease the amount of victim of HIV.

            Why must be a curriculum? Even though parent can do that too? Of course parents have a great deal of responsibility of raising their children. But that is really not making sense if parent teach their children about sexuality. And in some case, we know that not all parents understand all the safe sexuality. And if that happened their children will don’t know at all about how is the safe sex. Because of that school is the most reliable media to teach about the sex education to the teenager. And sex education mandatory or be a curriculum at school is effective has been proven by the Western countries. Because Sex education has been taught in schools in a range of countries around the world for nearly a century in various forms it has become a fixture in schools in most Western countries. And if it can be success in Western countries. Why the other not do that too. Moreover it have some benefits. And we know that by doing sex education we are not only decrease the amount HIV victims, but we can decrease the other sexually disease too. Not only disease, but we can also decrease the amount of unwanted pregnancy. And if we have decrease unwanted pregnancy we also have decrease the amount of the people who died because of abortion.

            Because of several positive effects above, we believe that the sexual education from the Junior High School into the Senior High School is very effective preventive action to save more than a million people in this whole world.

My lovely letter

                Dear whoever stealing my soap,

            Every body needs soap. Soap is one of our primary needs in our life, because every day, every time we want to take a bath we will use soap. Can you imagine someone taking a bath without soap? Of course, that kind of bath mean nothing and non sense. Because the original function of taking a bath is to clean up our body. But how can someone clean up their body without any soap? Since we know that soap is an important thing to clean up our body.  So that’s why we are actually hard to life without soap, even though soap is a cheap thing.

            Actually I am very concerned about poor people who do not have enough money to buy soap. But I really confuse why in my life there are some people who have a good notebook, great facilities, fashionable clothes, and rich parents but still do not have a cheap thing namely soap. Since we know that all those expensive facilities are tertiary needs then a cheap soap is primary needs. Tragically, those rich people ask or even steal soap from the middle class people even poor people. That is the reason why this letter is appeared.

            I still cannot tell my pain in any words now, because when I wanted to take a bath I lost my soap. Moreover the person who stole my soap is not a poor man or middle class person, but I clearly know that you come from rich family. I know actually you can bought that soap with your parents money; even you can bought a cheap soap with your own pocket money. But why you stole my soap? Did your parents not give you some money to buy cheap soap? But even though your parents did not give you money, you still could get it by your own pocket money right? You could get soap with five thousand rupiahs. You could fulfill one of you primary needs by five thousand rupiahs. So I hope with you read this letter you can change. I hope with you read this letter you can buy cheap soap, I hope with you read this letter you can give back my soap and said some apologize word to me. THANK YOU.

My 1st winning essay

Globalisasi dan Mosa di Masa yang Akan Datang

            Modal Bangsa, salah satu sekolah ternama di Aceh yang terkenal akan prestasi baik dari bidang akademik maupun seni dan olahraga. Sudah banyak piala-piala bergengsi yang tersusun rapi di lemari piala SMA Modal Bangsa baik dari tingkat Provinsi maupun Nasional. Bahkan salah satu kabar teranyar yang sekaligus menjadi buah bibir di kalangan remaja Aceh, klub Teater Mosa berhasil merebut medali emas di Lombok pada FLS2N baru-baru ini. Dan di kancah FLS2N tahun 2012 hanya Modal Bangsa yang dapat mewakili aceh mendapatkan medali emas yang tentunya menjadi idaman dari setiap Provinsi di Indonesia. Dan tidak hanya di bidang seni, lagi-lagi Modal Bangsa ikut unjuk gigi di bidang akademik dengan mengirimkan 4 anak didiknya ke kancah OSN yang digelar di Jakarta mengungguli rivalnya Farhan yang hanya dapat mengirim 2 anak didiknya.

            Dengan sederet prestasi yang sudah dihasilkan oleh Modal Bangsa baru-baru ini, sangatlah rasional jika kita membandingkan dengan prestasi-prestasi yang dilahirkan Modal Bangsa di generasi-generasi sebelumnya. Mungkin salah satu murid SMA Modal Bangsa yang sudah sangat mengharumkan nama sekolah ini adalah dr. Tompi. Dewasa ini, siapa yang tidak mengenal beliau. Selain menjadi salah satu musisi papan atas di Indonesia, juga sangat gemilang mencapai gelar spesialisnya. Sungguh menjadi kebanggan luar biasa bagi keluarga SMA Modal Bangsa pernah mendidik anak yang cerdas seperti beliau. Dan tentunya menjadi harapan keluarga SMA Modal Bangsa untuk dapat melahirkan Tompi-Tompi selanjutnya.

            Namun, penulis merasakan penurunan prestasi yang dialami oleh salah satu SMA favorit ini. dimana terlihat pada acara OSN tahun kemarin, MOSA dipaksa mengalah dan hanya dapat mengirimkan seorang anak didiknya untuk mengikuti kontes ilmu sains se-Indonesia  itu. Mungkin penurunan prestasi tersebut juga dipengaruhi oleh zaman globalisasi yang sekarang ini sudah luar biasa membludak di kalangan remaja. Tidak hanya membludak tapi bahkan terkadang salah dipergunakan oleh sebagian kalangan remaja di Indonesia. dan ketika  mereka salah dalam mempergunakan teknologi tersebut mereka akan ketagihan dan muncul rasa ingin mencoba lagi dan lagi, dan tentunya kejadian ini akan memicu kelalaian yang akan berdampak pada masa depan SMA itu sendiri. Jadi bagaimana penyelesaianya mengingat sangatlah tidak mungkin bagi pihak sekolah menahan arus globalisasi yang hari demi hari terus bergejolak di seluruh belahan dunia tersebut?  Tentunya ini merupakan masalah terbesar yang penulis rasa tidak hanya dimiliki oleh SMA Modal Bangsa, bahkan mungkin seluruh SMA di dunia ini. namun di kalangan SMA Modal Bangsa terdapat salah satu masalah yang menambah beban SMA berasrama ini untuk mengurangi dampak negative dari globalisasi itu sendiri. Yakni bertambahnya jumlah peserta didik di tahun ajaran 2012/2013 ini. dari sebelumnya SMA Modal Bangsa yang hanya menerima 116 murid per tahunnya kini meningkat menjadi 152 per tahunnya. Tentu saja hal ini akan memperkeruh suasana peminimalisir dampak negative globalisasi, dan akan sangat berdampak pada prestasi SMA Modal Bangsa mengingat jika quotanya dinaikkan maka secara automatis akan mengurangi rasa persaingan antara siswa itu sendiri. Tidak hanya itu, jika kita mengganti sudut pandang ke siswanya sendiri tentu secara tidak langsung akan mempengaruhi  mental si anak sendiri, dimana, kehadiran siswa tambahan akan memicu pertambahan basis. Dan basis tambahan (basis 4) otomatis akan terdeskriminasi dengan tidak adanya abang basis yang membantu mereka di tahun perdana ini. dan di tahun ini juga karena quota fasilitas sudah “overload” sehingga memaksa pihak sekolah untuk mengumpulkan dana untuk memperluas fasilitas seperti mushalla, menambah kelas dll.

            Dengan beberapa analisis di atas, penulis berkesimpulan bahwa masa depan SMA Modal Bangsa akan gemilang jika dapat mengatasi perkembangan globalisasi yang membludak dan adalah suatu hal yang salah untuk menambahkan quota siswa baru, karena berdampak negative tidak hanya kepada pihak sekolah namun juga murid itu sendiri.
